The Tallgrass family, just making their way in the world, embarked on an amazing new adventure stemming from just a simple discussion about life. We were looking for a change, for new purpose, and for the chance to make a bigger impact in their community. Tallgrass Meat Company was crafted out of their desire to cultivate an intimate, well-trusted and community-driven marketplace in Columbia, TN.

Bringing together their combined expertise in health, nutrition and holistic wellness, Casey and his team set forth to establish a well-honored trade in a setting hearkening back to the days of neighbors having a deep connection to their roots, literally – knowing where the food comes from. Their hard work and dedication have forged new beginnings with a dedicated butchery and marketplace rooted in serving their community “one steak at a time."
