A Tallgrass Story Part II: Casey Weber
It's funny how something can be obscurely in front of you your entire life and then make perfect sense, all of a sudden. Tallgrass Meat Company is the visual manifestation of a passion that has simply been marinating inside us over time.
One could say the passion was hatched growing up in a family-owned meat locker. However, that's not completely true; it was work, it was hard, and it was fun. If someone had told me I would go on to study Food Science, Microbiology, and Nutrition… then on to experience the largest of commercial food operations… and then to have the opportunity to turn my passion into a family and community business… Even as I type this it seems like someone else's story.Well, I must say that this is my story. But this is a chapter we have been preparing to write. We aren't in Kansas anymore, but I can finally say, I am home. We are so excited, thankful, and blessed to have this opportunity to plant our roots, to grown, and to become a part of Columbia, TN and the surrounding community, "one Steak at a time".
